We should be doing everything achievable to produce geo-thermal energy technologies. This area has not yet been probed very deeply, but it has huge potential, as it is available from mother earth. Vast quantities of power are present beneath the surface crust on which we move and have our being, all we need do is tap into it and harness it.
At the Earth’s’ center, the temperature is sixty times greater than that of water being boiled and the tremendous heat creates forces that exert themselves only a couple of miles beneath us. These pressures contain large quantities of free energy and there are tons of heated fluids in the form of magma, which can be seen pouring out of the earth, during a volcanic eruption. Such super hot fluids sometimes leach up to the surface as steam and vents out through assorted orifices.
We can develop our own vents, and we can create out own containment chambers for the magma and convert all of this free energy into electricity to light and heat our homes. A geothermic plant can be created if we dig a well on the ground where there is a rich source of magma or hot fluid, then fit the well with a pipe which would pump up the hot fluid to ground level for the production of required steam. The steam would turn a turbine, which would generate the electrical energy.

There is lots of skepticism regarding the tapping geothermal free energy sources, which is preventing large-scale production of this free energy. Critics say that exploration to find a resourceful area is too costly and takes up too much time. Then setting up a geo-thermal energy plant is also very expensive, with no guarantee of any future profits. Some geothermic sites, once tapped, might be found to not produce a large enough quantity of steam for the power plant to be viable or reliable.
Several environmentalists are of the opinion that when you bring out magma, it is possible that some dangerous materials also accompany it. However, the great benefits of geothermic free energy would subsume these criticisms if only we would explore it greater. The fact is this is the energy of the Earth herself means it does not develop any pollutants. geothermal free energy is extremely cost-efficient — the efforts required to channel it are minimal after a site is found and a plant is set up.
A geothermic plant is also not as huge as say a dam or an atomic energy unit, making it a lesser risk to the environs. Needless to say, it is an alternative form of free energy and using it would mean we become that much less reliant on oil and coal. Perhaps most importantly of all, we are never, ever going to run out of geothermal free energy, and it is not a commodity that would forever become more costly in terms of real dollars as time goes on, since it is ubiquitous. The use of geothermal energy would be extremely affordable and the cost of building a power plant can be recovered expeditiously.
